Reports
Students will be bringing their Semester 1 reports home next Thursday. After reading your child’s report, please make contact with your child’s teacher if you wish to discuss their learning further.
Wild About Animals Day
Next Thursday our Junior School SRC are inviting students to dress up in their best animal themed outfit to come to school. Students in Foundation to Year 2 are encouraged to bring along a teddy friend to join them on a Teddy Bear’s Picnic, while students in Year 3 to 6 are invited to join the fun of an animal themed scavenger hunt. Students are asked to bring a gold coin, which will be donated to Horsham Paws to help them care for local animals.
Staffing for F-2 Library and Performing Arts
Next Friday will be the last day Mrs Rebecca Fletcher will be working with us. We thank her sincerely for her work teaching Library and Performing Arts to Foundation to Year 2 classes and for the care she has shown to her students. We wish Rebecca and her family God’s richest blessings as the family relocate to Melbourne. We are very pleased to let our community know that Mrs Kreymborg will be taking on the role as specialist teacher for these classes for Semester 2. We thank her for her flexibility and willingness to support our students in this way.
Wakakirri
This year students in Years 4 to 6 have been able to audition to be part of our Junior School Wakakirri group. This year's theme focuses on 'Rise". Students are constructing a story that includes a plethora of scenarios focusing on this lofty topic. Without giving too much away, there are dancers, basketball players, swimmers and more. Next Friday morning, all 49 students will be engaged in an all morning workshop to rise to the occasion and prepare for their performance in Term 3.
Chapel
This morning Year 2B led our worship, with a message reminding us not to grow tired of doing good. The Bible verse was Galatians 6:9-10: ‘Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.’ Next Friday the whole school will be attending closing service at 1.40pm on Friday afternoon. We encourage students to bring a small offering. Family and friends of the college are welcome to attend.
Congratulations to this week's award winners!
